ABOUT OUR YOUTH GROUPS

BEEFY – A youth group for high school students, grade 9 – 12, which combines fun activities and events with informal educational programming in order to give youth a fun and safe environment to make friends and reinforce positive Jewish values with their peers. Coupled with NFTY we offer regional and national events approximately eight times per year, local events monthly.  BEEFY emphasizes leadership development, networking, and social action in addition to fun extracurricular activities.

Jr. BEEFY – The younger brother to BEEFY is for students in grades 6-8 and provides a slightly less-structured atmosphere to prime the students for BEEFY. The groundwork for leadership skills are laid in addition to one regional NFTY event, exciting fieldtrips and activities, and a great transition for post-b’nai mitzvah students. Jr. BEEFY has about one event every month that is specifically for this age group.

Ruach – Largely a parent run youth group for 4th and 5th grade students, though the youth director will support all programming endeavors. This youth group is a great way for your children to get together with their religious school friends outside of the classroom. Ruach is especially important for 5th graders as it allows your children to interact with more with youth from outside of their Elementary School, helping to prepare them for the transition to Middle School.
