Erev Shabbat

Friday Night Services are currently at 7:30 p.m.

Recognizing that worship is an intensely personal experience as well as a communal one, Temple Beth-El offers a wide variety of worship service experiences.

Our Friday night Kabbalat Shabbat (welcoming the Sabbath) service runs about one hour and includes a great deal of music in two main styles: modern/folk and traditional/classic Reform. The more modern approach occurs when our soloist is accompanied on guitar, or at our once a month “Friday Night Live” which is an energizing experience that takes us to the next level with our T’filah band, The Jammin’ Jews. The inclusion of the acoustic guitars, mandolin, bass guitar, violin, dumbek and accordion add to the intensity of the worship experience. Other services include the music of our movement reaching back into traditional nusach and classic compositions, led by a soloist who is accompanied on the piano.

Our Erev Shabbat services are held on Fridays at 7:30 p.m., except for our family service, once a month.  See calendar for details.

Weekly Shabbat services are led from our movement's new prayer book, Mishkan T'filah: A Reform Siddur.
